The Ressurection of Jesus

Posted 5/12/2018

Jesus’ resurrection provides hope and meaning for life. The resurrection gives all believers the realization that everything we do today has eternal significance. Jesus' resurrection provides personal, emotional and spiritual healing and hope that is life transforming for the Christian. Death is not the end. Evidence of the Jesus’ resurrection is overwhelming in itself without considering the countless billions of people since whose lives have been transformed by their belief that Jesus is the Son of God and was resurrected from death just like He said He would be. The Bible tells us that over five hundred people witnessed the resurrected Jesus in bodily form for a period of 40 days before he ascended into heaven. His disciples and others talked with Him, touched Him and ate with Him after His Resurrection. Jesus is alive and He will return just as He said He would do.

Scripture Reference-1 Peter 1:3, John 11:25, Acts 4:33, 1 Corinthians 15

Prayer - Heavenly Father thank you for the hope and assurance that the resurrection of Jesus gives to me as I work through the struggles of this earthly life. Thank you for sending Jesus to die for my sins so I can spend eternity in heaven with my brothers and sisters in Christ. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Nature

Posted 5/12/2018

When we spend some time in nature we see the perfect Nature of God. We see the birds, squirrels, blue sky and the wonderful green fora around us. If you think back to when you were a child you saw the same things. How many generations of birds and squirrels have there been since you first took notice? The regenerative nature of the world around us is amazing. Only God could possibly make it happen. The Bible speaks of this truth in John 1:1-5. Our God is eternal and He is always creating.

In stark contrast to the beauty of nature that God created is the human heart. All of the wars and atrocities through human history stem from human sin that comes from the heart. Power, lust, greed, idolatry, disrespect, hate, vengeance, materialism, selfishness it is all still here today. Human nature has not changed. Humans will not evolve to something better as many people think because their is no evolution. That is why the human race needs Christ so desperately. Through Christ the Holy Spirit restrains evil in the world through the Church. If we think the condition of the world is bad now the Bible says it is going to get horrible after the Church is raptured from the earth. After the rapture Satan and his demons will be unrestrained to take the world to the worst it has ever been. Satan will raise up a powerful world leader called the antichrist. God will then poor out His wrath on the evil in the world. The Bible tells us if God himself did not shorten those days the human race would not survive. To avoid these horrific days that are coming you need to be saved and born again. It is only through Christ that you can be rescued from what is coming. Jesus is coming back soon!

Scripture Reference - John 1:1-5, Revelation 1:8,Genesis 1:1-31, Acts 14:15, Ecclesiastes 9:3, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 25:15-35, 1 John 4:3, 1 John 2:18, Daniel 7:1-28

Prayer - Heavenly Father I pray that your people will bring as many people as possible to Christ before it is too late. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Life's Seasons

Posted 5/9/2018

The times we spend with the people we love are the most cherished in life. They are the times we remember, look back on and sometimes long to return. Life is ever changing like the seasons. Some days are warm and lovely while other days are cold and gloomy. Thank God that the seasons do change and that the cold days of winter turn to lovely warm days to remember.

Prayer - Heavenly Father thank you for all of the fond memories and always being there with me through the difficult times. Thank you for the encouragement that is in your Word and for the people you have placed in my life that love me and for the people that you have put in my life to love. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Scripture Reference: Romans 8:28, 2 Corinthians 9:8, Psalms 34:18
